Pre-Tanning Preparation Before your airbrush appointment, we ask that you take a handful of precautions to guarantee that your tan will look fantastic. First, you should exfoliate your skin the night before to promote even coverage and lengthen the duration of your tan by removing dead skin. You should also wax a minimum of 24 hours or shave 8 hours before your appointment and use a lubricating shaving product.
Please remove or avoid makeup before you tan, as this acts as a barrier to the spray and could cause your face to tan unevenly or not at all. You should also wear dark, loose clothing to your appointment because the bronzer may rub off the first day until it completely sets. It can be washed out of fabrics, but it may stain nylon, lycra, leather, and silk. For best results, you should use Fantasy Tan® skin care products while preparing for your tan to develop healthy skin. |
| | Maintaining Your Tan After you have received your tan, you should wait at least 8 to 12 hours before showering. Apply moisturizer morning and evening after your post-tan shower. Avoid moisturizers that contain Alpha Hydroxy (AHA), long, hot showers and baths, and scrubbing your skin. If you use a washcloth when bathing, choose one that is as soft as possible and pat your skin dry after bathing or showering. Excessive friction on the skin may fade your tan prematurely.
Other Issues Chlorine in swimming pools and hot tubs can remove or shorten the longevity or your tan. Furthermore, take care when exercising, as friction and excess sweat may cause your tan to fade prematurely or unevenly. |
